Turning Our House Into a Home

The Joy House is an Adult Family Home located in beautiful Janesville, WI. Started in 2021 by Judy Wilson after a 35 year career in Special Education. The home is managed by her son, Ben Wilson, who helped his parents run an AFH in their family home from a young age. The Joy House is currently certified as a 1-2 Bed Adult Family home but will be certified as a 3-4 Bed starting April 1st 2027. The house, registered with the Wisconsin Historical Society, is the Edwin & Mary Bailey house. Built in 1908, it boasts Neoclassical/Beaux arts architecture style. We are very proud of The Joy House but it's our members that turn our house into a home.
